Super Simple Poutine Recipe

In the culinary world, the poutine, is a staple of Canadian cuisine (originally from Quebec). This dish consists of French fries, usually topped off with gravy, and cheese (curds). The origin of this dish began in the late 1950s in Quebec. Although the actual word “Poutine” and its origins are uncertain, the dish is delicious, and that really is all that matters. Here we will show you a quick and easy poutine recipe that everyone can do at home.

Poutine, a Canadian Food

1. 1 Quart, Vegetable Oil 2. 1 can beef gravy 3. 5-6 potatoes, cut into fries 4. 2 cups of cheese (curds)

1.To begin, heat the oil in a deep fryer to 355-65 degrees F. When the oil begins to heat up, you can start to warm the gravy.
2.When the oil is hot, place in the fries and cook until light brown. These should cook for about 5-6 minutes. Remember to place the fries on a paper towel after frying to drain.
3.Place the fries on a plate, sprinkle cheese over them. Ladle gravy over the fries and cheese.
